I need to clear the air, no we did not escape...but we were so darn close. Escape or not we had an amazing time. I heard tons of friends rave about how much fun doing an Escape Room is but this was my first time. I had some expectations of what it would be like but honestly was not prepared for how out of the box some of the clues were.
We did the Robbery-Pawn Shop Room at the Amazing Escape Room Princeton with a group of 10 people. I was a bit concerned that they would take our cell phones, especially because I had left the kids with a sitter for the very first time (they did great). I was relieved to know that I could keep my phone and even exit the room if I needed to, only video and photography weren't allowed.
Once we were in, it took us a few minutes to wrap our heads around their way of thinking but once we got our first clue, we started really moving along. I don't want to give anything away, so the only piece of advice I can share is to be observant and curious. The time ticks away faster than you could ever imagine and I wish we had had just 10 more minutes.
I would 100% do it again and we were actually all chatting about getting the group together to do a different room in the new year. I can see how people can easily get addicted, I need to know that I can get out of the room!
